Probably everyone planning a trip to Sintra has seen those beautiful photos from the palaces…
And very often I get requests to have a photoshoot exactly there.
But it’s important to understand — there are two options.
The first is legal.
You pay for a shooting permit and can fully enjoy the process without worrying that security might approach you at any moment.
(Yes, unfortunately, I know real cases where people were asked to delete their photos right at the exit.)
The second is under the guise of being tourists.
When the entire shoot comes with a constant feeling of:
Where is security?
Will they notice us?
Will we have enough time?
I don’t support this approach.
And honestly, I’m not comfortable working in those conditions myself.
Sintra has a huge number of beautiful free locations where we can create atmospheric and stylish photos without any restrictions ✨
But if you still want a photoshoot in a castle, here are the current conditions:
– the permit is arranged on-site at the ticket office
– advance payment is not possible
– the shoot may be limited due to events
– cost: 150€ for up to 6 people (including the photographer)
– if there are more people, additional tickets must be purchased
At the moment, I’m in contact with them to clarify the possibility of a reduced fee for smaller sessions (1–3 people).
